INTEGRATIVE NUTRITION: the process of being nourished as a unifying whole.
The foundation of our health starts with the food we eat. What we put into our body directly impacts the way we think, feel and interact with ourselves and with others. However, encouraging a diet consisting of fresh, plant based foods is only the beginning of what I do.
My practice in Integrative Nutrition draws from several backgrounds.
The notion, “let food be thy medicine” inspired me to where I am today. My first degree was a double major in Sustainable Agriculture and Business. I knew I wanted to continue down the road into some form of medicine (Naturopathic, Physical Therapy, Chiropractic) and was prepared to venture on my own into private practice one day.
As fate would have it, I wound up on the path of a nurse.
I worked in the Emergency Department for a while and then pursued licensure to become a Board-Certified Holistic Nurse. I was gradually taking big steps to lead me into private practice, something I’d dreamed of doing my whole life.
Later, I enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to become a certified Health Coach. I studied over 100 different dietary theories and put my best foot forward so that I could better serve you.
I balance myself by practicing and teaching Yoga and Mindfulness at my studio, Shanti Yoga.
With a background in both eastern and western traditions I see health as holistically integrative. I am thrilled to bring my knowledge, passion and expertise to the table with you. Our coaching sessions are guided through your unique goals and needs.
I will bring you relevant, clinical knowledge that gives you the information necessary to make informed decisions about your diet and lifestyle. I want to listen, support and guide you on a path to radiant health and wellness.
